No matter how busy I am, I’ll always answer the door when you knock on it.

Yes, I will duck other visitors, but they’re not you.

I like the way you have of coming right up to the door, waiting just outside of it until you think the time is right.

Your light rapping upon it gets my attention every time, making me let out a little squeal of delight to know you’re there.

Sometimes I still have to get ready before I can answer the door for you…it may take brief moment or two before I’m ready to let you in.

But when you finally press your finger against that doorbell and it rings and rings and rings, well that’s when I know it’s time for you to come through that door and let me pay attention to you.
