<itunes:summary>I don’t know why I’ve been thinking so much about spending time by a fire lately.
So bright, so warm…I want to get so close and almost feel the flames on my skin. It gets so hot I have to open the door a crack to keep the cool air around me, too.
I don’t have a working fireplace of my own, so I have to find other ways of getting near that kind of heat. And that always seems to involve you.
Let’s see if we can make it happen again this week at Bubbles in the Think Tank. Until then, here’s last week to keep you warm and snuggly.

<itunes:summary>No matter how busy I am, I’ll always answer the door when you knock on it.
Yes, I will duck other visitors, but they’re not you.
I like the way you have of coming right up to the door, waiting just outside of it until you think the time is right.
Your light rapping upon it gets my attention every time, making me let out a little squeal of delight to know you’re there.
Sometimes I still have to get ready before I can answer the door for you…it may take brief moment or two before I’m ready to let you in.
But when you finally press your finger against that doorbell and it rings and rings and rings, well that’s when I know it’s time for you to come through that door and let me pay attention to you.
Just like I do every week at Bubbles in the Think Tank.

Just one more song. Stay a few more minutes. Try this new thing. Do that thing one more time.
I always let you in and try to give you a nice comfy place to curl up and purr for as long as we can stay.
Yet still it is never quite long enough…better put this archive on repeat until next week’s episode of Bubbles in the Think Tank.

<itunes:summary>We’ve spoken often of the ever embiggening staff of Bubbles in the Think Tank.
I guess I’m just one of those gals who always needs a little more. A little more excitement. A little more attention. A little more rest. A little more fun. A little more of everything.
So, in trying to get all those little bits, it has become clear that I alone can never take care of all of my many needs. I mean, I *can* take care of some of my needs pretty darn well myself, but I always appreciate it when you lend your hand to the task before you.
Thankfully, you are always willing to help. Whether it’s during the show, making sure I play the right silliness at the right time, telling me not to stop…please don’t stop… Or at times like these when we need your help with our Petite 7 Inch Record project.
Any time, any where, we always need you. To help us make a record, to help us have a good time, or just to listen to the archive of the show and let us know we helped you, too.

<itunes:summary>Some nights, when we first get together, I just ain’t feelin’ right.
But within seconds, I manage to adjust my attitude…and it seems like yours, too.
It’s so easy when it happens even when I’m sure there can’t be any way that this can keep working as well as it does.
Yet somehow it gets better all the time.
All these years, all these shows, all the different places, all the silly ways we do it.
I guess all that really matters is that we’re together holding on tight, each and every week at Bubbles in the Think Tank.

<itunes:summary>2011 surprisingly made this B’s knees weak on any number of occasions.
And the music was pretty good, too.
Here’s the rundown of our faves with a smattering of the running commentary from the staff and listeners over at the Bubbles in the Think Tank Facebook Fan Page.
If you get the urge to click on the links and purchase any of this fine music for yourself, let them know you heard about it on Bubbles in the Think Tank. We don’t get anything in return…except maybe a little extra love. And who doesn’t want that?
Let’s start with the link to the archive for your listening and dancing enjoyment while you’re perusing the list.

Playlist
We’ll start with the albums…
NRBQ Keep This Love Goin’
Yes, we start each and every episode of Bubbles in the Think Tank with NRBQ. And there’s a reason. If you had forgotten or thought it was gone, this will make sure you never forget. It makes my heart feel so happy I think it might explode. Monkeys don’t know how lucky they are.
Tom Staley We’re Gonna Be OK
Tom sent this cd to me at the very beginning of 2011 and I knew it would be on this list before the first track was finished. It makes me hopeful every time I listen.
Chris Ligon & the Problems This Is Your Night
Described last night as “SILLY VERY GOOD,” Chris Ligon has everything you need to be a Bubbles in the Think Tank Favorite. Silly overtones, poppy undertones, lyrical twists and some really good bad jokes. What more do we actually want anyway?
Pete Donnelly When You Come Home
Think Thank loyalists dig the vibe that Pete puts down throughout this disc. It’s got the Philly sound on top of the one that is Pete’s very own. I’m hoping to make it to one of solo gigs sometime while the record is still fresh from the oven!
P.J. O’Connell Join The Crowd
Live, P.J. has this knack of knowing just how much to play. He gets on stage, does it and then stops leaving me on the edge always wanting more. Somehow he manages to do that same thing here but in long player form. Very impressive.
Jon Pousette-Dart Anti-Gravity
This record is like a cool breeze. I admit to a lack of familiarity with his earlier work and that I was only drawn to the disc for noted participation of Jim Chapdelaine. It felt like the work of friends together all the way around. That’s nice.
Barrence Whitfield & The Savages Savage Kings
I first discovered Barrence while still living in Cincinnati in the 80s. He was stablemates with one of my favorites of the time, The Auburnaires. All these years later, Savage Kings keeps him rooted to my roots – recorded in the Nati at Ultra Suede, released by Shake It, and sounding like it should have been on the Federal label. Yes, I like this very much.
The Fleshtones Brooklyn Sound Solution
Unlike any other Fleshtones release, this one is nearly all covers and it has the bonus guitar heft that comes with the addition of Lenny Kaye. Extra fuzzy!
Neil Innes Innes Own World – Best Bits – Part Two
Neil’s appearance in the B’s Knees confirmed that we’ll organize a listener field trip next time he crosses the pond. His stories are always fascinating, his music oh so nice. We declare Neil Innes an underrated genius.
The Bandana Splits Mr Sam Presents the Bandana Splits
They don’t just focus on the 60s girl group sound…they know who the Dinning Sisters are and it shows.
Darling Pet Munkee Glows in the Dark!
Thanks to Marshall Frederick Stockwell Jr., our Titular Head of Research, for hipping us to this one. Retro/psych/surf/sea-monkeys. I am a child again.
Hugh Laurie Let Them Talk
We’ve loved Hugh Laurie for years at Bubbles in the Think Tank ever since we first saw “A Bit of Fry & Laurie” so many years ago. It was shocking for us to hear people referring to Let Them Talk as his first foray into music. But yo[...]</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>We’ve talked about my touchy-feely ways here before.
But just because I know I do it doesn’t mean I’m going to stop.
And you never ask me to. I keep on reaching over and you never seem to swat me away.
I may poke you on occasion, but you know that I want to use my fingers to push every button you’ve got.
And since it’s the holiday season, I’ll be doing it for many more hours than usual. That makes me happy.
Here’s hoping this archive bonus Bubbles in the Think Tank makes you happy, too!

<itunes:summary>Now is the time in our radio hostess – listener relationship when it seems like nothing could ever be better than it is right now.
When I play music that puts you in a groove, it’s as though we’ve found the perfect position.
When the sounds are in your incus with just the right vibration, it’s all we want to hear.
When the silliness moves your stick just right, we never want to let it go.
But we do. And then whatever follows always seems to be just as good.
Even when it’s in the archive at Bubbles in the Think Tank.

<itunes:summary>There is really only one place for me to be.
I tend to arrive a little early so I can settle down. I like to get things ready and get a little comfortable.
Then you show up. That’s when I finally feel like me. It’s not just a show I’m putting on for you. It’s just me letting everything gush right out.
Is it any wonder that when our time comes to an end, as sadly it always does, that I keep looking for those few extra minutes? Are you in the least bit surprised when I stay with you until that last possible second and then still immediately start thinking about the next time?
But I’ll always spend some time remembering all the details of the time we just had…right here in the archives of Bubbles in the Think Tank.

 <itunes:summary>Sometimes I just gotta relax.
I get so worked up thinking about being with you every time it’s about to happen that I really need to get horizontal. I need every little kink worked out, every knot kneaded. I need to hang my head off the bed and reverse gravity for a bit.
Once we’re finally together and things get going, I melt into it and next thing you know hours have passed like seconds and everything I’ve brought with me has been released to the æther.
And then I start asking for more.
Fortunately we’ve got the archive until I’m back next week for more Bubbles in the Think Tank.
