I never met someone who can do all those things you do

I thought I had it all figured out.

I’d been doing this show for years and years.  Then you started listening.

And even though it doesn’t sound like that should change anything, it changed everything.

New sounds  sounded right to my ears.  Old sounds suddenly sounded new again.  Sometimes as soft as a sigh, other times as hard as a scream.

I started to breathe again, at least a little faster.  A little shudder of excitement every time the buttons on the board get pushed.

All because you showed up, wanting to enjoy the show, wanting me to know you enjoy it.

I like it so much better this way.

I’m glad you like it, too, every single week on Bubbles in the Think Tank.

darn it my roll attendance absentee has become a pattern…. well guess i need a good old-fashion paddling. but wanted to be passively guilty to partake in your invitation “all because you showed up, wanting to enjoy the show, wanting me to know you enjoy it”. cuz deep down i was there in my rem. getting tired much earlier than my whipper-snapper days. thanks for the archives. swak~belinda from s.
